The craniosacral system consists of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. It extends from the bones of the skull, face and mouth, which make up the cranium, down to the sacrum, or tailbone area.

tem2 8

Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle method of detection and correction that encourages natural healing mechanisms to dissipate these negative effects of stress on the central nervous system. Craniosacral Therapy releases restrictions in body tissues (physical level of unresolved past trauma).

Craniosacral Therapy is a hands-on healing technique that uses a light touch. By using this touch the therapist can access a core rhythm in the body that is created by the fluid system surrounding the brain and the spinal cord.

The practitioner monitors the rhythm of the Craniosacral system to detect potential restrictions and imbalances. Where there are restrictions it will show up as a lack of motion or rhythm. The therapist then uses delicate manual techniques to release those problem areas and relieve undue pressure on the brain and spinal cord.

Why does Craniosacral Therapy work? It works for sensitive individuals because, as depicted in Diagram VII, Craniosacral is an Information-Energy Pump, i.e., it functions within the Soul.

The CranioSacral System oscillates at about 6 to 12 cycles per minute. The optimum is 9 cycles per minute. Thus, this oscillation is the logic component that collapsed onto the optimum metabolic rates as illustrated in the Holon below.
